Assassin’s Creed Valhalla creative director Ashraf Ismail is stepping down from the game to deal with “personal issues”.
I resign from my beloved project to properly manage the personal problems of my life. My family’s life and mine are shattered. I am deeply sorry for everyone injured.

In response to the situation, Ubisoft provided a statement that reads: “Ashraf Ismail is withdrawing from the project to take leave. The development team has committed to delivering a great game in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.”
This announcement follows information revealed this weekend regarding suspected intercourse between Ismail and a woman who didn’t know he was married.
The revelation surfaced when Ubisoft was already dealing with another controversial surrounding the sexual conduct of its employees.
The release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently scheduled for current and next generation systems, as well as for PC and Stadia, by the end of the year.
